Kowai Bush Walk

This morning we drove up to Springfield to walk through a beech forest. The track wasn’t suitable for pushchairs so Mike carried baby Joshua and Matthew and Philip had turns with Joseph on their back. 4 year old Elizabeth walked the whole way easily. It was on a hillside so the track wove up and down. I loved the forest smell and seeing the various ferns scattered over the forest floor. It took about 40 minutes to walk the largest loop of the track. Find out about this walk on the Selwyn District website by clicking here.
